About the Job
We're looking for a developer to work closely with Simon to help further SnapShooter and shape
the future of our product.
As the first employee, you will have to get used to wearing many hats; we are looking for a
developer and someone who can help grow the business. So please make sure you comfortable in,
for example, the following areas:
- Assisting customers to get started and general inquiries.
- Writing and publishing documentation.
- Video calls.
- Discussing marketing and sales ideas.
- If you like writing blogs and technical articles, that would also be strongly welcomed.
Technical aspects.
The following are a list of skills we require for the technical accept of the job:
- Strong experience with Laravel
- Strong experience with Linux
- Good understanding of bash
- Understanding of Livewire
You will be using your programming skills to do some of the following jobs:
- Developing new backup solutions for application recipe marketplace
- Implementing integrations with hosting providers.
- Refactoring and improving the whole application.
- Implementing testing.
Some of the biggest future's projects are not public information, but you're welcome to ask
and
discuss during the interview process.
Pay and benefits
This is a full time (40 hours per week), fully remote job, and you can loosely choose your hours
as
long as there is a ~4hour overlap with my day time hours (9am-4pm UTC).
The salary for this role is between £25,000 -- £30,000 based on experience. We are looking for a
UK
based employee.
Included is 21 days + bank holidays, paid holiday. You will be free to take additional time off
as
and when reasonable needed. We will not track the time you take to go to the vets' and doctors.
We
just want to progress in the business and not interested in clock watching.
The job comes with no expected overtime, and at the end of the day, we all want to stop work and
enter personal life.
We will give you a Mac Mini/Macbook Pro; we lease these as they come with fantastic customer
service
and next day replacements. You will be welcome to keep it at the end of the lease.
The UK government only allows us to pay £6 week working from home allowance, so you will be able
to
enjoy this tax-free, YAY!
The auto-enrolment pension scheme will be set up, our contributions would be 3% between earning
of
£6,240 and £50,000, so for £30,000, annual contributions would be £712.80. You must also
contribute
5%, or your welcome to opt-out once enrolled.
The job is due to start April/May.
